Today I gave quite an important presentation about teamwork. I was pretty nervous speaking in front of 40+ young adults. Anywho, we are told by others that teamwork is good, but how important is it? And how do we make it effective? I think teamwork is super important in all aspects of life: family, relationships and business.
It came down to this when considering the basic principles:
- UPLIFT:
How far are you taking your team with you? What distance are you going? What are you doing to make the environment around you a more positive and engaging place? What are you doing to help? How are you making a difference?
- ENCOURAGEMENT:
This principle should not be taken for granted in any aspect of life. Human emotions are based on our motivation to perform them. The best way positively motivate is encourage.
- ALTERNATE LEADERSHIP:
It’s about everybody taking initiative. It should never be about one leader telling everybody else what to do. Everybody’s got a voice and everybody’s got potential.
